Janet Coon seemingly does it all. Designer, photographer, blogger, and creator of Shabbyfufu.com, she started her website in 1999, and her popular blog soon followed. “The mission of my blog is taken straight from the way I live; I hope to inspire readers to live a comfortable life in their own homes, without much fuss or great expense,” says Janet.

Her home has been featured in numerous design magazines including: Better Homes & Gardens, Cottage Style, Flea Market Style, Romantic Homes, Shabby Style, Flea Market Décor, and Romantic Country–just to name a few.

Janet says she “hugs” her own style when she’s designing her home. “It’s my style and I can’t even name it, but I’m comfortable and that’s what counts.”

“We had a couple of people over and the weather is nice here at the moment, so I just grabbed my garden clippers and created an outdoor table.”

Janet, like many, aspires to the KonMari method of decluttering, based on Marie Kondo’s book, The Life-Changing Tidying Up. Janet says, “The KonMarie method of cleaning, organizing, and decluttering has definitely been a lifechanger.”
