A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog on twilly scarves, and this week I want to introduce you to WILD RAGS. You may not be familiar with this style term unless you are into the rodeo scene, but wild rags are all the rage in western wear. So if you have a rodeo or western-themed event in the near future, consider this colorful addition to go along with your hat and denim.
What is a WILD RAG?
A WILD RAG is a square scarf or bandanna folded in half, placed around your neck so the triangular portion of the scarf is showing, then sides are pulled around your neck and tied loosely at front. It’s as simple as that.

Imagine the denim shirt above without this wild rag — pretty basic. What a lot of color and interest this little square of fabric provides. Take a look at the photos below.

Of course, as always, choose your most complimentary colors for your wild rag. A color that matches your hair OR eyes is always a good choice.
All the photos for this blog came from a website called FringeScarves.com. This website even offers instructions on how to tie Wild Rags Click HERE.
There are a multitude of ways to wear wild rags. Take a look:

Wear them long or tie a short square knot.

How much fun is this to mix color and pattern. I just love it!

You certainly don’t have to work on a ranch or be a cowgirl to appreciate the look of wild rags.

In fact, they can actually add an air of sophistication to your outfit.

So, ladies, get your cowgirl ON and try a Wild Rag. Just for the fun of it.

Thank you to Fringescarves.com for the great photos.
