Several weeks ago, I visited a clothing boutique in Sedona, Arizona, called Victorian Cowgirl. Owner, and former Hollywood Stylist, Candace Walters immediately drew me in with her warmth and charm.
This one-of-a kind shop runs the gamut, featuring everything from Victorian costumes and fabulous custom wedding gowns, to modern, country-chic clothing, hats, and accessories.
I fell in love with the alluring and eclectic vibe of the shop and wished Candace could bring her Victorian Cowgirl here to Central Texas!
I was so inspired by Candace’s shop and her own unique style, I gave her a copy of QS and asked to send me her review. Within days, she emailed back:
“I am just about finished with your book, very well written! I am thoroughly enjoying it. I am learning so many new things. I would have to say, You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!!
You are having me analyze myself, which I have never done before, with your questions about my personal style statement.”
I would have to say that I am: Edgy, Fearless, Venturesome, Outgoing and On the forefront of the latest styles.
I couldn’t agree more, Candace. I think your Personal Style Statement fits you to a tee.
Candace does much more than sell clothing. As I tried on outfits, she periodically checked on me and instead of looking at the garment I had on, she focused on my facial expression as I looked in the mirror. She could tell whether I felt great in the outfit or not. At one point, when she saw a less-than-excited look on my face she thoughtfully asked, “Not quite YOU?”
Need a fun, savvy outfit, boots, or accessories with country-chic flair? Check out Candace’s website: Victoriancowgirl.com And if you are ever in Sedona, don’t miss a chance to visit her fabulous shop. She also designs and creates one-of-a-kind bridal gowns.
Candace, thanks for sharing your PSS and thanks for being “quintessentially YOU.”

Sharon, I love your blog! Keep those great thoughts, ideas and pictures coming!
Thank you, Beth. That means so much to us. Let me know if you have any questions you want Janna or me to answer Love ya.
What a great find Candace is! It thrilled me to see the pics from her shop. When you get older — and I mean OLD–there are many things you can’t do or be or visit anymore, but you can relish the great stuff and fun stuff and kind stuff and still have a grand time!
Thanks for all the good sharing
Donna, thank you for writing. Glad we could brighten your day. You are a GRAND lady!
One can never have enough BOOTS!!! What an excuse to have to go to Sedona. Great blog Sharon. 🙂
Bev, you don’t have to go to Sedona to get her boots. (Although I highly recommend it.) Candace has a website, or you can call her and tell her what you want. Don’t you just wish she could pick up Victorian Cowgirl and bring it to Texas!
I loved this blog and the review and photos on the store, Victorian Cowgirl. It made me want to go shop there! I like stores with unusual things. Thanks, good job!
Diane, I know you would have so much fun shopping at VC. Not just clothing, but fun, unique accessories. And you could give us all lessons on accessorizing.
