Need a quick decorating idea for your home? Or a hostess gift in a hurry? Here’s an easy one that costs about $3.50 and will add color to any decor–not to mention inexpensive comfort and joy!
All you need is a small poinsettia. You can pick one up for about $3.50 at the grocery store. But, you’ll need to spruce up the humble flower a bit. Here’s how:
Purchase a 4″ poinsettia from the store.
Find a small pot or planter you already have. Use extra greenery sprigs from your yard (or buy a bundle in the floral department at the store) for filler.
Simply place the poinsettia in your decorative pot, and fill in with extra greenery. (Spill a bit of greenery out of the pot to add more dimension.)
Add a little holiday flair anywhere!
I LOVE using blue and white ceramic containers any time
Nothing speaks “holiday” more than the eye-catching color of a beautiful poinsettia.
Merry Christmas!
Love, Sharon
P.S. The “Grumpy Gardener” from Southern Living Magazine says: Be sure to take the foil off your store-bought poinsettia and DON’T OVERWATER. (Only water when soil is dry to touch.)
