What’s IN for Fall?
September 4, 2019

I’m so fortunate to know a professional image consultant who also happens to be my Quintessential Style co-author. Janna Beatty has been working with women for almost 40 years. Her studio in Waco, Texas, is one hoppin’ place. Between television appearances, public speaking, individual consulting, and her frequent Open Houses, Janna is one busy lady.

Fall Fashion with Ann Harder

Recently Janna gave a two-segment presentation on Central Texas Living with ABC’s Ann Harder. The subject: What’s IN for Fall. Here’s a recap:

Animal Prints

It seems that animal prints have become a classic. Whether it’s cheetah, leopard, or zebra. You get to decide how much (or how little) you want to wear.

Lovely Diane Jordan models a chetah print raincoat and accessorizes with a complementary scarf.

Dark Florals

Think back to 1970’s dresses. Dark florals are making a comeback.

Diane pairs her fall floral with opaque tights and lace up boots.
Love the plaid and floral mix.

Pistachio Green

Pistachio is popular this fall. Wear it if you dare. It may not be for everyone.

Diane wears her green at bottom and adds more color at her face with this dark floral, bell-sleeve top.

Full Sleeves and Sleeve Details

It’s all about the arm details this fall. Whether they be puffy, ruffled, or bell sleeves.

Ruffled, feminine sleeves are all the rage.

Quilted Details

Find quilted stitching in shoes, handbags, boots, and jackets.

Diane can even make a quilted jacket look super-chic!
Quilted accessories.

Janna stresses that fashion should be fun. Discover which trends you love and search those out. Disregard anything that doesn’t work for you.

And remember, sometimes you might just find something delightful right in your own closet!

I would love to see more post like this one.
Show in style and how to wear it.
I am in my late 70s and love to keep up with style.
I sure don’t want to look old. Ha

    Thanks for writing, Barbara,
Amazing Diane is not a professional model. She is in her sixties (and I know she won’t mind me telling you). She is active, outgoing, and involved, like most of us. Her clothes fit the lifestyle she is living today. And she wears flattering cuts and colors for her body/color type. It’s all about dressing for “who you are today.” Not who you were 20 years ago.
You can look stylish at any age!
