Summer is upon us, and although it’s not here yet, it’s nice to be prepared when the warmer weather finally hits.
Swimsuits for All.
I came upon a great website offering swimsuits for every figure-type. Sizes 8-34 can be found at Swimsuits For All. Their slogan is: “Find a suit that will best fit and flatter your unique figure and personality.”
From bikinis to tankinis. From swim dresses to cover-ups. Find it all here.
Packing a floppy hat.
You don’t have to take your hat on the airplane and risk bending or creasing it. This simple idea came from PureWow: Stuff the inside of your hat using clothes you are packing. Place the hat flat in your suitcase, then pack other items carefully over the brim. Voila. Your hat will arrive with your luggage–perfectly in tact.
I recently tried this idea when packing my own hat…it really works. No more carrying my hat on the plane!
Can a Tan-in-a-Can Look Natural?
I asked my co-author Janna Beatty which self-tanners she recommends. (For those of us who used to spend hours in the sun, but now shy away from the rays.) She says St. Tropez may be the best for color and easy application.
St. Tropez’s Award-Winning Glow Kit. ($49.)
Janna says another best seller is Jergen’s Natural Glow. ($9.)
I was recently packing for a trip to the beach, and I put my self-tanner in the suitcase. My husband stared at the suitcase–perplexed. “Why are you packing self-tanning lotion, when you’re going to the beach to get a tan?”
I looked down at my milky-white legs and responded: “I don’t have one yet!“
Men… So clueless!
