For several years, I’ve been foregoing resolutions and opting for a singular ONE WORD to guide my thoughts and direction for the new year. But, for some reason, I’m struggling this year to come up with a word for 2021.
Thinking back, here are my ONE WORD(s) for past years:
2018 – Focus 2019 – Grace/graciousness 2020 – Flow
Wow, thoughtfully evaluate the year that has just passed. Here are a few words that come to mind from last year:
Virus, quarantine, social distancing, masks, protests, job loss, death, shelter-in-place, ZOOM, COVID testing, lockdown, isolation, personal protective equipment (PPE), flattening the curve…
(Most of these words, I’d rather forget.)
Need more suggestions:
I have to ask myself what I’ve learned from the events of last year. What reflections have I taken away? How have I handled the disappointments and developments of 2020?
How do I want to feel at the end of 2021? How can my ONE WORD guide me to reach this goal?
I’m still working on my word for 2021.
Can you please share some of yours? I need some inspiration and I can’t think of a better audience to ask for help.
I sure love my readers.
