I’m so excited to present my co-author Janna Beatty’s first YouTube Video. She’s sharing concepts she’s been teaching her clients for over 30 years. This week’s video explains INSIDE BASES, and how they can become foundational for your wardrobe.

If you have ever had trouble putting outfits together, fear not. Janna explains that inside bases are literally the ‘underpinnings’ for all your outfits.

An inside base is defined as any matching top and bottom. Any matching shirt/pants, skirt/top, dress, or pantsuit. The top and bottom become your blank canvas–to style any way you want. Simply add accessories and a  third-layer piece such as a jacket, vest, sweater, blouse, or pashmina.

After you view the video, take Janna’s challenge and venture into your own closet to see how many matching inside bases you can find. Then pair them with third-layer pieces you already own. You’ll be surprised at how many different outfits you can create with one simple inside base!
