The first time I visited the website, Champagne + Macaroons , I felt as if I had been transported to some tranquil refuge–far from the usual chaos of the internet. Stylist, blogger, and social media manager Tamara Waterson has succeeded in creating a virtual haven, where she inspires us with ideas on style, travel, decor, and life. Tamara says of her Champagne + Macaroons blog:
“I wanted the blog to be a relaxing place for readers to feel at home. When you read a post I want you to feel as if we are sitting right across from one another.”
If you are from Central Texas, you may know Tamara’s mother Connie Spiegel and her grandmother Margie Flanagan of Temple. If you happen to be so lucky, then you also know what a gracious, fun, and fabulous family Tamara was born into. (Margie also has three more beautiful daughters–Tamara’s aunts–Debbie, Shelley, and Terri.)
Tamara has taken her grace, her talent, and her style to Minneapolis where she works and lives with her husband and two dogs, Trixie and Babette.
Tamara moved from Texas to California shortly after graduating from college. She met her now-husband in Los Angeles. After marrying, they ended up in Minneapolis where her husband works for his family’s business. Tamara says, “Moving was one of the hardest things I ever had to do–it still challenges me at times, but my husband has been a rock through the ups and downs, and together it’s made us stronger.”
Tamara has certainly found her niche. In February 2015 she created her Champagne + Macaroons blog, and six months later she was named by Redbook magazine as one of the top “Real Women” Style Bloggers in the country. She was featured in the September, 2015 issue of the magazine.
In Redbook (above, right), 32 year-old Tamara says her everyday look is “a mix of the femininity of clothes from my Texas childhood and the relaxed vibe I picked up living in Los Angeles.” She tells her readers: “Always let where you live and travel influence you.”
Tamara also says that clothes don’t have to be pricey, but they should fit perfectly.
Tamara writes about fashion, home, and life.
Well Tamara, you have succeeded in your quest. I have never met you in person, but I feel as though I’ve been sitting right across from you during our interview.
And we’ve been sipping champagne, of course,
…and don’t forget the macaroons!

Love the blogg, but how do you maintain such a loveley figure. Keeping the weight of is difficult.
Liza,
My guest blogger, Tamara Waterston, is in her early 30’s. As you know, it gets more difficult to maintain our figures as the years roll by. Just remember what you looked like in your 30’s. I’m sure we fretted over our size then, but would pay big bucks to be that size again. Ha.
Thanks for writing.
