Many of you know Susan Marie’s, the fabulous women’s clothing boutique in Salado, Texas. But did you know the shop is now under new ownership? I visited last week and it is a gem to behold. The glistening chandeliers, bright interior, and eclectic furniture all combine to give this place a super-stylish vibe.

Retired teacher Sally Volney, of Temple, is the new owner of Susan Marie’s, and Alice Winders continues as the manager and buyer for the store. The boutique is packed with savvy, chic (yet practical) clothing, shoes, and accessories, and Q Style readers can receive a 10% discount on their purchase. See below.*

Alice has been in the retail business for over 40 years.  Behind that ageless smile and cute personality, her knowledge of designers, style, and fit is impeccable.

On this day, we met lovely sisters Amy and Suzie, from Oklahoma City, as they were passing through Salado.

“Every time we drive I35 we stop here. We’ve been shopping at Susan Marie’s for years,” says sisters Amy & Suzie.

Susan Marie’s is located at 201 North Main in Salado. Trust me, it’s worth the drive. Even through the construction.

It is wonderful to once again have Susan Marie’s as a fabulous “stop to shop” in Salado! Four us took the trip last Monday. To be honest, none of us noticed the chandeliers, we were too busy looking and shopping to view the ambience until we all made our purchases! We definitely will do another “Manic Monday” soon, that 10% discount is dangling and beckoning us.
Thanks for highlighting another great store in Salado.

    Carol,
I only wish I had posted this blog earlier, so you could have received your discount. But I know you will be returning again. I love the Clara Sun Woo tops and dresses. No wrinkling, and those colors are to die for!
    Thanks for writing. Sharon
