Ahhh…fresh, autumnal breezes. It may not be time to pull out the gloves quite yet, but how about those lightweight scarves? And while we’re at it, let’s add a little interest by layering some accessories.

We’re here at Janna’s studio, where creativity happens. Today, it’s all about layering. Scarves, necklaces, wraps, vests…you can layer just about anything!

Meet Marcia and Diane, two of Janna’s wonderful assistants.

Diane happens to be an expert at layering. She can take any outfit and give it more pizazz.

Diane artfully ties a scarf around a cowl neck sweater. (Who thinks of that?) Then she layers at least three coordinating necklaces, above and below the scarf. (Notice her stacked bangles, too.)

A gray sweater gets interesting.

Adding color, shine, and texture brings out the personality in our clothes.

On a recent trip to Austin, I snapped a few photos. Layering is everywhere! Tassels are super-popular, as is layering several delicate necklaces.

Don’t be afraid to add a little drama to your outfit. Just experiment and have fun with your favorite pieces.
